The perfect Sunday brunch with pancake molds
2026-08-20
A great brunch is 20% recipe and 80% logistics. Here’s a flow for 4–6 people with HappyMoule molds.
Night before (15 minutes)
- Weigh flour and mix dry goods in a jar
- Wash fruit, prep compote or coulis
- Stage molds, spatula, serving board
- Optional: full batter in the fridge (stir in the morning)
Sunday morning — timeline
- T0: coffee/tea, oven 80 °C / 175 °F, sheet with parchment.
- T+10: finish batter; rest while the table is set.
- T+20: first batch (complex shapes: dino/star).
- T+35: second batch hearts/clouds; first batch holds in the oven.
- T+45: warm sauces, fruit, call the table.
- T+50: serve + optional mini-batch for stragglers.
Toppings station
Three sweet bowls, one savory, syrup carafe, damp napkins for kids. Sticky labels if anyone has nut or dairy allergies.
Drinks & sides
Pressed juice or simple smoothie. Scrambled eggs in a separate pan. Oven bacon on a rack frees the pancake burner.
Rough quantities
Plan 2–3 shapes per child, 3–4 per adult if pancakes are the main. Make 1.5× base batter if you open the full family kit.
Low-stress vibes
Short playlist, table set the night before, one “stove lead” and one “toppings lead.” Photo before syrup. Let kids pick one signature shape each.
Monday you’ll only rinse the spatula and maybe post a dino story — brunch mission complete.
